The universe will always give you what you ask for. It may not come in the time and way we envisioned, but it will come. All too often fear keeps us from asking for the things we truly desire, and so we never receive. Sometimes we don’t feel worthy of the the things that we want, so again, we don’t ask. Other times we think that our desires are too big and that the universe could not possibly deliver. It is not our job to figure out, know, or understand the how, when, and why our dreams will come true. The only thing we must do is know and believe that they will.

Asking for something does not guarantee that it will come to us when and how we think it should, but not asking guarantees that it will not come at all. As with anything else in life, the more we ask the better we get at asking. If fear of rejection or self-doubt is stopping you from asking for things that you really and truly desire start “small” and work your way up to “bigger” things. In reality, there is no big or small when it comes to the desires of our hearts. These are arbitrary labels we choose to ascribe to them. Try asking for an extra shot of espresso at your local coffee shop. Ask your spouse to do a household task that is typically your responsibility. Then ask for that raise you’ve been thinking about for the last six months. The world is your oyster, so go collect some pearls!
